I grew up in Madison, WI, and attended Northwestern University as an undergrad. I graduated in 2010 with a major in sociology and a minor in mathematics. I studied with Nicki Beisel, and I developed a passion for both research and advocacy focusing on gender and economic inequality.
As a graduate student at Stanford, I was fortunate to work with several fantastic scholars, including David Grusky, Michael Rosenfeld, Shelley Correll.
When I'm not doing research, I enjoy visiting my family (and my dog) in Wisconsin, hiking and exercising with friends, and listening to NPR.
